At first I understood the truth without words
Now I understand just the words
The truth, once a gift, is now become a fortress
And every word I speak is a stone in its walls
Oh! this labor, this relentless construction work
Wish I could pull it all down and start over
And just lie down in the dusty rubble
and sleep in the comfort of my long lost being.
