Rajiv Pande Poems

Pieces of me all over the place
People I've known, places I've been
A memory shared, a familiar fragment
A park bench, a road sign
...

Lost in the streets, a stranger in Town
Windows and Whispers going round and round
Words in the trash-pile, Words on the ground
Words in my fingers, words in my frown
...

I don't know what it is like to be a tree
...and have the wind rustling through my ten thousand leaves
I don't know what it is like to fall like a raindrop
...into a muddy puddle and lose myself
...

At first I understood the truth without words
Now I understand just the words

The truth, once a gift, is now become a fortress
...

The Locked Room
~~~~~~~~~~~~
There is a place inside you
That you never visit
Pieces Of Me All Over The Place
Pieces of me all over the place
People I've known, places I've been
A memory shared, a familiar fragment
A park bench, a road sign
That special look of an eye
If this is home, I dont see any fence
I see no frontyard, no wooden gate
Nor windows, nor walls
To keep out the wind that
carries pieces of me
All over the place
