He judged my dislike of wearing shoes
Gave me a nasty look,
Like that'll send me straight to Hell
When that ain't even in the Book.
He mocked my always being sick
And I couldn't even speak,
Couldn't begin to explain
Why my body is so weak.
Life is an illness
A tempest full of steam
I wish I could sleep it away
I wish it were a dream.
