Man Chased By Death Poem by Tulsi Shrestha

Man Chased By Death

MAN CHASED BY DEATH
The earth trembled profoundly with anger
To promote devastating tragedy of earth quake
It exploded, cracked and crumbled
And swallowed our beloved Sun and Moon
A cloud of darkness replaced the blue sky
Death and destruction, wherever we see there they are.

Brooks and rivers flooded with human blood
Panicked screams of wounded, cracked heart of sky
Souls of dead surrounded their own dwellings
How horrible and painful game of death is!
Failed to realise Worth of Life before message of death
We do now sleep under the shadow of death.

Is there any place that is safe for us?
We can't believe the ground beneath our feets
Death chase us like our own shadows
We perceive death at each and every moment
The fear of death is worse than actual death
We all pray with God for a little more life to live.
