Man On The 6th Floor Poem by MAD DEW

Man On The 6th Floor

Meet a man that lives on the 6th floor
He doesn't want to live his life anymore
Tonight he has been doing some heavy drinking
And now he is sitting on his windowsill thinking
“I am tired of my dead end job
Tired of my broken down Saab
And that I can't even afford to take it to the damn shop
Tired of these reoccurring nightmares that won't stop
Tired of getting no respect and being under appreciated
Tired of feeling misunderstood, mistreated and hated
Plus my girl told me she don't want me anymore
Man, what the Hell is this damned life even for?
Would it even really matter
If I were to fall and splatter? ”
He gets up onto his unsteady feet
Thinks “It is time to admit defeat.”
Takes his one last look over the edge
And takes his final step over the ledge
