Man's Best Friend Poem by Cheyenne Ashley

Man's Best Friend

Rating: 0.5

A savage man
Beats on his best friend
The friend that protected him from robbers
The friend that always followed him everywhere
The friend who accompanied him in his loneliness
Just beating him now
Simply letting the friendship dissinegrate
The beating is over
The friend takes his place in the corner
The man sits in his chair
The puppy lays with regretful eyes
Regretful that this man is his frienf one minute
And his enemy the next
The man calls the dog
And the dog, out of pure love,
Gets up and sits on the mans lap
The man strokes his fur
Whispers that he's sorry and he'll never do it again
The puppy just sits there
Because he know it won't be long
Before the man comes back
To take his pain out on his bestfriend
