Man With An Attitude Problem Poem by Francis Duggan

Man With An Attitude Problem

We work with him we have to but we don't call him workmate
That awful man K Roper the one we love to hate
The World's greatest whinger he whinges all the time
And he'd end his days in prison if whinging was a crime.

Give him the silent treatment that's what the others say
But even for K Roper that would be huge price to pay
I may not like his attitude with him I don't agree
But I'll always talk to Roper if he will talk to me.

I do grow tired of Roper just hearing him complain
And I've often got to thinking that the man must not be sane
And though jobs are in minority there must be an easier way
Than working with K Roper for eight long hours a day.

When Roper start complaining poor Luke loses his cool
And I begin to wonder who is laying down the rule
It's verbal war with Roper and Matt has lost control
And all these disagreements on my nerves taking toll.

I sometimes Feel that Roper has been misunderstood
And that like every other human being in him there is some good
And though I've tried to understand him I honestly have tried
His main fault he's a whinger he's never satisfied.

Big Joe silent and brooding has gone back in his shell
And Carl has condemned Roper to afterlife of hell
And Billy is not happy and Brendan's jokes now rare
And everybody wishing that Roper went elsewhere.

We work with him we have to but we don't call him workmate
That awful man K Roper the one we love to hate
And Luke is feeling flustered and Matt has lost control
And all these disagreements on my nerves taking toll
