Mandela Poem by Clinton Chinedu

Mandela

Rating: 4.0

Great stories were told
But yet greater songs persisted and came fort and were sung
Respected by many and adore by others
This is the true tale of an immortal
One whose actions speak even after death

A simple and honest life once lived
Seeds of motivation and inspiration which do not die
Are sown on the hearts of many who believed
This later imparted to the new generation
A hero battered and beaten but without regret but joy
With treasure in sight reluctant to let go

This treasure greater than even gold
The hope of a better generation unstoppable
The fire and passion for a new age unquenchable
Not fazed by situations now dimmed a legend
One whose tale is celebrated by the saved generation
The hero though immortal was only but a man
The songs still to be sung in the future
Such a legend is none other than MANDELA
