Manifest Fury Poem by C. J. Plunkett

Manifest Fury

Alas! A sudden thunderous roar!
The black behemoth came calling;
Nature's fury unleashed in its core,
And the world around it was falling. Figures wandering in a trance,
Searching in stunned disbelief
For missing loved ones, per chance,
Suffered in somber silence and grief.
Suddenly piercing the silence--a cry!
From the lush green meadow beyond,
A lone baby crib in a field of rye
Was safely resting by a minnow pond. Melancholy spirits turned to joy,
With a new zeal to survive and cope;
Tucked safely in his crib was a baby boy,
Symbolizing a new beginning and hope.
