The idea of God is but a construct of man
To put words to that which he does not understand
The blue spiked-light that set his home ablaze
The white haired lion his kid could not escape
For at the darkest of moments we look outward to the stars
And pray at their helm ever so bright
Hundreds of thousands of years now past
And I'm out here staring at the same stars as the cavemen once did
For in as much as I understand that God is but a construct of man
In my darkest moments, God is the only entity that ever truly made sense
