Many Are The … Poem by Dr John Celes

Many Are The …

Unsung heroes
Uncrowned kings
Achievers not awarded
Accomplishers not rewarded

Buds not blossomed
Flowers that didn't form seeds
Wombs that never bore
Men who turned martyrs

Women who braved life's odds
Children who rose to fame
Youth who led great struggles
Souls who died for others to live!

Wild flowers of incredible beauty
Patterns in sky that miss the human eye
Mammoth trees concealed in dense forests
Rare species on land and in sea.

The mighty aren't truly strong;
The beautiful not really so;
The talented not the best
The wise never the wisest!
