Boy:
‘Daddy, must you surely go?
Oh, can’t I come with you?
Must you leave mom and me alone?
Can’t we go with you? ’
Mom:
‘You cannot go, my dear son!
Oh, come back here to mom;
You cannot stop your dad for now;
He surely has to go! ’
Dad:
‘Come hold my hand, my little boy!
But I must be gone surely;
Stay with your mom and obey her;
Pray God, I’ll be back soon! ’
Poet:
Oh, see what life can bring sometimes!
Duty to nation becomes prime;
All other things must wait for fate;
God will decide our destiny! ’
‘Till then, just wait with patience dear!
Life can be cruel to some at times;
Life like a pendulum swings about;
Will it stop suddenly? No one knows! ’
‘Many are the brave-hearts, who’re off to war,
Leaving a lovely family;
Only can some return unhurt;
The rest must leave the world early! ’
