Many People Love Poetry Poem by The Original Tom Maxwell

A couple of questions, many of you may have pondered
In the past days, is there been one organization,
In charge, of poetry today?
Styles, I realize someone started each one, is that saying,
Anything out of those limits, is not a poem?
I've been writing for 20 years, I have never 1 time tried to,
Follow a style in any way, is there an eternal law,
That new style could not be added?
The words are feelings, emotions, about anything,
Birth to death, afterlife, dirt to water,
It's the expressions the author creates, and brings,
Open freestyle, maybe a line limit, the difference,
Between a short story and a great poem, that rings.
A way to rate poets today, In the past, people sat,
Listen to them, that's how they became famous, we are in a,
Money world today, if you're not already famous, or not making,
Millions of dollars, you're not considered great, the list should,
Grow. Sports has new all-stars, each year if nothing else,
Keep up the interest, just a thought, you could be on the list.
