Maria Poem by Justin Gildow

Maria

Stories have been told to you
Whether by your parents
Or by anyone else
Maria

Your parents are gone, Maria
They went searching for some strange mystery

It's been quite some time
And you wonder where they are
So after a while
You decide to look for them

With courage and a spear given
to you
A spear used by a legend in your village
It's in your possession now
It's in your hands now

You set out on your journey
Across seas
Across lands
Hoping to find your parents
Hoping to find calm and peace

It's only you
And only you
But I hope you'll be successful Maria
On your journey
I'd love nothing more than for you to find
what you're looking and fighting for
Which are your parents
I hope you'll be triumphant Maria
