Maribel Poem by Alfred Ramos

Maribel

I suppose, that pose
Can be construed as seductive
That cute black dress, I confess
Can be very productive
That lock of hair running down the side of your face
Is teasing a caress to put it back in place
And your dark eyes they see right through me
They see the lust, the desire, and the ecstasy
Maribel, I thought I knew you well
Now I have one secret I can’t tell
Maribel, tell me you need me, Maribel
I don’t know if I’m in heaven or hell
The tears in my eyes are starting to swell
I’m at your service, Maribel
Don’t let your eyes go distant
I could be there in an instant
So if I had one wish come true
It would be to spend my life with you
Maribel, if heaven fell
You would be the first I’d tell
For you are my pearl in an oyster shell
Maribel, you have me in a magic spell
So I suppose, nobody knows
Who sent you that ruby red rose?
Maribel, when will you expose
Where your heart goes
When I’m here right under your nose
