Marred And Imperfect Poem by Royston Allen

Marred And Imperfect

Marred and imperfect, I came to You Lord.
Silenced by sin I could not speak a word.
Then in the quietness I heard You say
"All your iniquities I've washed away."

And there at the table spread before me
in precious Christian company'
The Bread was broken,
words of love spoken.
The red Wine was poured
and Christ was adored
