Marriage Poem by Sotirios Skoufis

Marriage

You want to know the truth?
What that bond is all about?
That you take in your youth?
I want to scream, and let it all out.

Marriage is about 2
Me and you
You and me
We are 2

Marriage is about love
down below
under the snow
under the earth

down to the core
meltdown
you're gonna swim
Marriage is about growing with each other

And fight all difficulties.
I knew that before
That is a port
a safe heaven

That is your ort (place)
Marriage is about forgiveness
it is about tomorrow
where there's no sorrow

Where there's no fear
cause u're always near
by my side
not everything's gonna be all right

And you know that
you're not ok with that
you didn't marry God
who created the big bang

and also the beatarang
we have to fight
to be all right
and even then it's gonna be rough

Marriage is divorce
You're now a horseman
on it's own
or a horsewoman

By itself
nothing goes
Be beneath
to be first

Be ahead
to stay on track
keep some oil
in your lamp

Woman go to your man
try please to understand
don't take things personally
even if he's rejecting you

He's not reflecting you
He's letting it all out on you
cause he feels trusted with you
Cause you're the only one

who's here to listen to him
go to his shell
and show him your love
take him out of his hell
he'll be well

We men expect from you girls
that once you've been chosen
you'll approach us yourself 2
to drag us out of your minds

Where there is no disguise
where there's only me and you
