Marriage To The Pi Poem by Zen Materialist

Marriage To The Pi

Rating: 5.0

Some say that marriage is a power of two
That's just one determination
Two square roots of three might do
But that is mere approximation

Pi the number is quite famous
Three point one four one five nine
A circle's circumference over twice its radius
It is unique; it is sublime

Marriage is like the number pi
And here I'll tell you why

Pi is known to be irrational
It can't be made with two integers
In both senses marriage is identical
And is more than two individuals

Marriage is transcendental
And pi is very similar
Which is why you cannot square a circle
It is a goal you approach forever

Like marriage's amassing moments
Pi is the endless sum of smaller feats
But there is nothing there to lament
For the pattern of numbers never repeats

So when things seem all negative
And that's a bad sign
Good times will roll around to live
When two pi's cosine

Going forward, there is much unknown
All too many variants
Marriage too defines the uncertain
But in the end it is a constant
