Martyrs Of The Alps Poem by Gabriel Ifeanyi Onyewu

Martyrs Of The Alps

Break, break, breaking 'ews
So wide, winging on soaring heights
The cold fragments it blew
Away of shattered winds across the sky

A tale i would had been untold
This sunk-in claws 'nto a roving art
The burning wails of darkened souls
Did stick target like shooting darts

The fiend descend cold-heartedness
No thread can stitch this ghastly crack
To where the trail leads loneliness
On, you go now off the track

Your blood did smear the alps
And consecrate your tomb
May seraphs adorn your place of trap
With halo'd wreaths ye martyrs headed home
