Mary Ii Poem by Okunola Peace

Mary Ii

Beautiful and sweet are your lovely lips
That melt my heart upon our joyful hill;
O' leave me not my ever-shining wife,
Shine and be my light in this lonely life.

Aye! Your beauty is a perfection
That sate my thirst and quench my hunger;
O' Listen to my song and search my heart
For your love is a breeze that gentle my soul.

Your presence at my side strengthens me
And gives me hope like never 'fore;
Before this world that tends to deny peace
And mar the love that makes us pure.
