Mary's Story Poem by Cat Hodgson

Mary's Story

I've never known a man..
Yet here I am with child
by God's call.

My betroth Joseph
could have sent me away..

But an angel came to him
told him to stay..

We were married.
Now we must travel to Bethlehem
our taxes to pay..

Everywhere we look is full
no place for us to stay.

The baby I carry
is ready to be born.

Faith that I have
let's me know
it will be OK..
