Masochist Poem by Michelle Chinenye

Masochist

I don't feel sad when I get cursed
Neither do I when I get wounded
I actually do feel blessed
To see my joy get plundered

I like the feeling when I bleed
My thick red blood flowing freely
I'm truly not one to showcase greed
I'd share this feeling happily

But people seem to hate pain
They say it hurts to get harmed
I don't know what they stand to gain
If they keep living life as they planned

They tried to get me help by calling a priest
Now where is the fun in that
Maybe....probably, I'm a masochist
Unlike others, I'll enjoy a sting from a dart
