If I were to know you were leaving that night
I would have spent every second with you
Maybe even begged you not to take the flight
Not like you knew it was your turn to pull
You refused to snap out from your slumber
Even after I cried and begged u to wake
And now you've been kept six feets under
Which they said is for your own sake
I wish I could speak to you again
Even if it's just for a little while
I don't know if I can handle the pain
If I ignore them, they just pile
I suppose there isn't much of a disparity
Between you there and me here
We are all heading the same place anyways
....You just happen to beat me there
