Masquerade - Poem by Heriberto GarciaIII

black clouds, acid rain
falling on my empty face
I see you there
crawling into an empty space
you sleep, you dream
for better days
your wishes, desires
fall in a masquerade

you think, you don't
its all a show
move on, move off
its a long pause
get high, get low
its so natural
pretend, deny
its all a lie

you know, don't know
what hurts, what stings
is it life or a dream
it's a masquerade of love and hate
