May I Not Have This Dance? Poem by Geramie White

May I Not Have This Dance?

Rating: 5.0

Why do you want me now?
Three years have passed since we last spoke,
As the many times I try,
You shook me away with that cold attitude,
I've became nothing more than a ghost in your life,
But on that one night you made me feel like I was worth something,
Shared a dance,
But you should've already known it was too late to come to me,
I've moved on,
It seemed like things were dimmed when I didn't have you,
But why did you pull an act like that to have me think for a second you cared?
If we didn't have this dance I probably wouldn't have feel so damn bitter,
But beggers can't be choosers,
So I can't pretent this never happened
