Maybe Poem by Robert Sheridan

Maybe

... if I meet the right person there’ll be a reason
... we’ll be together, but only from a distance
... a part of them will grow inside of me
... it will only cause more sorrow and pain
... I’ll stop confusing emotions with a person being nice
... someday I’ll hang onto someone, will rejoice
... it will no longer be a ‘might-have-been’
... chivalry isn’t dead
... I’ll just stop guessing
... if it’s meant to be it will be, but not another tragedy
... if scars continue to run deep, will no longer play the game
... however, I’ll continue to believe love will come along
... even if it’s two steps back and one step forward.
