Maybe Because It's Your Hair Poem by Walt Ostrander

Maybe Because It's Your Hair

Maybe because it’s
Your hair
That blonde windy strand
With your head a tired field.
Perhaps because it’s like this
Removal of sympathetic brimmed
Analogies
(smell of first times, honest questions)
shade-providing
law-abiding
grey-hiding
Love of scholarly language
That is why I think that
Because it’s plainly
Your hair
You mind the humidity.
