Maybe It's Gone Poem by Bethany Bales

Maybe It's Gone

Where did it go
that way that I felt has left me so cold.
A sun shining bright.
Never in fright.
It's all that I had from the time I was made
To feel my hand in yours
Under the tree with the shade.
Years of smiles, though tears as well
It never ended right, and this I will tell.
I'm better now but I can never replace
The place that you held, our hands interlaced
You never let me down, only once it was the last
it took me from myself, now I only have the past
Thank you for your years
Thank you for my fears.
I never get away from the voices the things they say.
They say to repeat.
Maybe I should, I'll just delete
memories and broken hearts.
So I don't have anymore new starts.
