Maybe, Just Maybe Poem by Natasha Andeyi

Maybe, Just Maybe

It makes no sense, I want it to.
I want it to because they need an explanation.
For sense is the only thing they know, what they seem to understand.
I long to belong like they do, so I'm making me make sense.

It's not as simple as they have been conditioned to perceive,
For it's just as difficult for me as it is for them.
So instead of chatting my path,
I'm unconsciously creating wars that are now tearing me apart.

But the pain of this war becomes too much for me to prolong the fight.
It's breaking down everything that adds up to my being,
and enough of it becomes enough for me.
So I decide to remind them of my find.

It's all black but not all of it causes harm.
If it exists, then it has its because. Just try to perceive.
The log you see is closer to you than you think.
Maybe, just maybe, black and blue exist to maintain the good.
