What?
Burned the bridge
of hope
that tied us?
What Darkened
all of our memories,
scattering them
like so much dust.

'O' What
fir'y spark it must have took!
to make
Bad
Outweigh
Good
in life's
Memories book.
Was I
always bad
never good, always wrong
never right
did I ever
bring you comfort
any day
or any night
Haunting deceits
Cobwebs of old musty lies
be
golden memories blight
must have been
such things
yet more
which caused even friendship
to take
flight
yes
darkness
surely was
A part of me
Running away from God
toiling for satan
'O'
deceitful, lying heart
and
now it be to late
for us
as
friendship even fails
viewing and reveiwing
black, pitiful memories
as the sweet heart with in you
swells!
so
I'll let the ashes
of
that bridge of hope
wash down life's river
and out to the forgetful sea
and
build another bridge
some how
but not
for you
and me
hoping you will do
the same thing too!

and
we'll be friends (?)
