Maybe Someday Poem by Gina Van Wolf

Maybe Someday

I will find a better place to lay my aching head
there was a feeling in my brain and slowly it had spread,
whisperings inside my bones say not to close my eyes
for you have poisoned my whole world and soon I will be blind.

I will find a better hand to hold my breaking heart
you dug your claws into my soul and controlled me from the start,
you twisted me and pushed me where I'd never want to go
you quietly designed me into something so unknown.

I will find a brighter moon to shine through lonely nights
If loneliness is the price to pay, it's still better than the fights.
I'm drained of all the strength I've had and dare not to turn away
I've taken all the falls for you, I've taken all your blame.

Maybe I will learn from this or maybe I'll stay blind
maybe I will fall for you or erase you from my life
maybe there's a reason and someday I'll understand
maybe someday will be coming soon and I'll walk on greener land.

But maybe someday is a mystery to which I'll never have the plans
and I'll be stuck in misery, bleeding life through your hands.
