Maze - You Are Here (8) Poem by Michèle Métail

Maze - You Are Here (8)

we would like to escape, to detach
to look backlit, anonymous
behind their anatomic mask
crowd of unmarked faces
with true gazes, eclipses
dislocated visions in forgotten
underground, paved hollow town
conceals, lining inside out
inscribed correspondences
mosaics and neons, yellow trains
passing by at tunnels speed
obscured arteries crossing
under free air otherwise equaled
trip conducting blind
distance tied to the site, duration
to go return in topography
somewhat real form to fraction
risings of earth in small bumps
network of tries, from where rise
to surface urban doors
stop, station, bridge naming
