Me And My Heart



Many a time I wonder
If I’m brought to earth
With a heart in pieces
Strewn all over the body

It made me self-conscious

Many a time I felt
Each piece popping
Out of its pocket
Raw and bloody

I’m glad for this arrangement-

I have the other pieces to go on
And help me survive!
