Meadow Poem by Julian Takali

Meadow

You oriental winds whisking about
Simmer me down, will you?
Kiss my flesh unmercifully

What grandoise mountains, what lovely villages and gullies
A man as numb as me
Feels up here, somewhat at peace

A sapphire sky inked with pale clouds
Shadowing down on these rivines and gorses
Sun, do not ever set
For my cigar and you are my only friends

Until I wither away
My soul is sure of every wind, velvet veldt, naked bird, sullen lake, lush greenry
Mother Nature, adopt me in your snug gentility
