Year after year passes by,
Adding another number to my age.
I look around, I look within,
Searching through life's changing stage.
Why am I here?
What path should I walk?
For one reason, I seek to understand
The silent truth behind this life.
The flowers bloom, then fade away,
The morning sun gives way to night.
Nothing stays forever unchanged,
Yet all things follow causes right.
The years I've lost are not in vain,
They taught the lessons I could not see.
Through joy and sorrow, gain and loss,
Life unfolds its mystery.
Not to cling to what has gone,
Nor long for what may never be.
But to meet each moment mindfully,
With wisdom, kindness, and serenity.
Perhaps the meaning is not to find
A single answer carved in stone.
But to awaken heart and mind,
And know that we are not alone.
So as another year arrives,
I bow to time and all I've known.
With gratitude for every step,
And hope for seeds yet to be sown.
For life's true meaning may not be
In how long we stay beneath the sun,
But in the love, compassion, and peace we share,
Before this precious journey is done.
