Win A Heart, Lose A Heart Poem by Piumi Perera

Win A Heart, Lose A Heart

In the quiet corners of a crowded room,
Two souls collide, dispelling the gloom.
Eyes lock, a spark ignites,
In that moment, the world feels right.

Laughter bubbles, a shared delight,
Whispers of dreams dance into the night.
To win a heart is a wondrous game,
Each touch, each glance, igniting the flame.

Yet with every joy comes a shadowed fear,
The echoes of love can fade all too near.
For hearts, once entwined, may drift apart,
Leaving us fragile, with a tender heart.

To lose a heart is to learn the cost,
A chapter closed, a bond embossed.
Yet in the ache, there lies a grace,
For every goodbye leaves a trace.

Memories linger like stars in the dark,
Flickering softly, each one a spark.
In the tapestry woven of joy and pain,
We find our strength, we rise again.

So here's to the dance of win and lose,
To the hearts we gather, the paths we choose.
For in every encounter, both bitter and sweet,
Life teaches us love, making us complete.
