How can I go on dreaming
When the night has turned to day
How can I go on dreaming
Now that the dawn has cast you away

In the darkness of my dreams
I journey the roads of the night
Winter skies shine softly above me
Casting shadows beneath the pale moonlight

I lose myself to the memory
When you gave your heart to me
Solemn vows and bright promises
Of a love that was said to be

Now I chase those scattered dreams
As I search for you in the night
All I have left are the memories
Of a love that shined so bright

I have lost you in my dreaming
Time has set you so far away
If I could only find you
I would ask you to forever stay

The stars that sing in the heaven
Now cry as they fall in the fading night
For nothing lasts forever
