Melancholy Poem by Sandra Black

Melancholy

He is surrounded by beauty
He is surrounded by brains
My soul doth yearn for him in vain

He is surrounded by pelf
Beauty and nature
What need does he have of this elf?

Years apart are we
Miles apart are we
His is all the power and glory

Yet somehow I know
Once I knew his soul
We did meet & in dreams wallow

Yes, in dreams I shall meet him
In joyous raptures greet him
Together again in requeim

I need him my souls is in agony
My anxious voice beseeches him
To stay away is no mean felony
