Melony Poem by tiffany fawcett

Melony

He goes up to her knowing
that she is just going to reject him
but he cant help but feel connected

Her skirt sways as she moves,
her partner takes her bum in a fit of lust
and leans his head towards her neck

Hes worried that she will get hurt
but knows he cannot confront her
for he has seen the partner a time before

Before she was there dancing sexually with him,
he drank the joy from the broken one
as did he the one before

He goes to the balcony
for a nights smoke
to relieve the feeling of his rejection

She comes out to the balcony as well,
places a hand lovingly on his shoulder
and stands behind him waiting

He asks “What is it? ”
“I saw you watching me dance. Do you like what you see? ”
“Indeed I do. I shall go retrieve her.”
she stands there bewildered

“But, sire, I meant me...”
“Oh.. well, love... it seems... I've lost interest.”
He sees the color turn in her cheeks

“But it looks as if you have someone waiting.”
He turns away from the beautiful disaster.
