Member Of The Wedding Poem by Francisco R. Albano

Member Of The Wedding

For Nina and John

I wish I were there
To take it all in
As much as I could
Ritual by ritual
Person by person
Rustle by rustle
Bride and bridegroom
Everything like a tango
Or a tanka
That someday in recall
Perhaps I could remind
Of detail forgotten or
Or what might have been
Of a time of love

Your poems are 'magical' for a better word to use. Maybe, mystical would fit better. You zero in on that inner substance of the act which you leave there for all of us to ponder and savor through your poetic verses, not destroying its originality.
