How like Pictures of Picasso when young
The past can suddenly jolt and surprise,
So much in Youth when our heat had begun,
No thought of the cost to our Future lives.
I still have that lock of Silken Bronze Hair
You kindly gave when I Sheepishly asked,
A Testament kept from a brief Affair;
Affair so short that we drank to the last.
But then to our Ideals we did return
And to make do and just strive for the best,
Are you Sad Girl in a Marriage to learn
There's one whose Heart was more greatly expressed!
Still; I wish you joy the rest of your days,
Oft recall one Man, and his ardent ways.
