Memories....
However hard you wrestle them
At times, resistance fails profoundly
Fell prey to unwelcome bits from past
Endure many insomniac nights
Memories can go dangerous
It can burn you down to ashes
Drown you deep, mercilessly
Leave you swirling in a hurricane…
In a dungeon of painful yesterday
My today is imprisoned
But hoping against all despair
I hope for a free, beautiful tomorrow!
