Memories Poem by Carly Almonde

Memories

Memory
I remember it like yesterday,
I always had my way,
You treated me with such respect,
When I had bad days.
You were always there when I was blue,
And times seemed to uptight,
You taught me to hold on to life
And be forceful with all my might.
These simple things you may not have known
have stayed within my heart
it leaves an impression on my soul
from the very start.
We had such memories I love to admit
It gave us such a rush,
Do you remember the time we played in the snow
And frowned as it turned to slush?
Or have you forgot the plays we performed,
Or the games we played at night? ,
And the time we had to rub our noses
When we had a fight?
Please remember these times
And the things that we did,
Because growing up with you
made it fun as a kid.
