Memories Of My Village Poem by mamutty CHOLA

Memories Of My Village

From whichever direction adversities may come

All the deprivations have absorbed within me

If lady luck knocks at at my door please tell her

I have a call from from desert for an appointment

I am reluctant to narrate my life story because

Your name my also come in the narration unfortunately

What a time has come all call themselves either Hindu or Muslim

I am finding it difficult to trace any human beings among them

If I am destined to sink then I will take you along with me

Man desires are unlimited even after death; indeed surprising

He needs two meter coffin besides two yard land after death

After ages we met it was a matter of happiness indeed

But tears welled into my eyes in happiness after meeting her

My childhood visited me when someone came from village

This love, affection and attachment with village is marvelous.
