Memories Please Lift Me Poem by Rhonda Baker

Memories Please Lift Me

Oh memories sweet memories open up that door
And flood me with the happiness that I have lived before
Distance keeps them far away, my hearts forlorn with pain
Where is the key that keeps them safe tucked inside my brain?
Days like this have come and gone and still I live the same
To worry and feel all alone is tiresome and lame
It’s somewhere in this clutter of my daily routine
Oh, I have found it! Buried in a meadow lush and green
