Men's Desire Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

Men's Desire

Rating: 4.5

One man will lie to you
and will fabricate stories
just to null your worries
You think he regards you as a flower
but to him you're just a thing
and he has all the power
and if wedding is in your mind
he'll milk it like a king
but never come with a ring

One man will dream of you
and fall in love with you
but he won't say in a day
for fear of scaring you away
and he'll think of all the reasons
that he should not tell you
because he would not buy nor sell you
He'll wait and wait unitil its too late
he's bound by honor more than fate
but he loves you and needs you
and admires your every trait

One man will see you as a prize
but perhaps not really know you
He's captured by your pretty face
and your vision he can't erase
and once he wins you he tires of you
because one day he see's another
and it captured by her beauty
and pursue her he must
as if it is his duty

Do you dream of love?
What Love do you dream
You must pick one
it would seem
because not all 'love'
is always the same
Love is somtimes just a name

And the the point
of which man you would desire
before you step into the fire
can you tell me
which man is a liar?
because when you ponder win or lose
be thoughful of the man you choose
or the one to whom you would aspire
