Meow - Meow, Meow-Meow Poem by Sylvia Chidi

Meow - Meow, Meow-Meow

Rating: 5.0

They are attempting to define me
They are trying to refine me
They are endeavoring to undermine me
My new life iswith plenty of wine in me
I am thinking restlessly - wracking my brain
Meow - Meow, Meow - Meow
This cat in my garden is a territorial pain

They are attempting to redesign me
They are trying to outline me
They are endeavoring to align me
I feel like there is a grim decline in me
My innovative ideas this year are in vain
Meow - Meow, Meow-Meow
I stare at this stranger of a cat again

There is no food my dear except the minus sign
Why can't cats and dogs get the same guidelines?
Cat, what's your story line? Where is your starting line?
Where is your money or give me a credit line
I can't keep nurturing you as if you are mine
You belong to the neighbours - that is the bottom line
Meow - Meow, Meow-Meow - Oh dear! I resign

This cat here thinks I am a goldmine
Don't start with me with a meow-meow headline
I stare and smoke watching the skyline
She sits and waits patiently below my waistline
She chooses me - What are the odds? - What is the percentage sign?
When I am on cloud nine watching the moon shine
Meow - Meow, Meow-Meow - Oh dear! I am now off-line

The cats that come into my garden always lave their calling card! Great poem.
