Mere Perfection On The Image Of Lies Poem by Christopher Cariad

Mere Perfection On The Image Of Lies

You're all knowing.
Just look at you now,
never a mistake
and never a stumble.
You're the perfection
for all us mere mortals.
The day will never come
when you are wrong.
Because you’re just mere perfection
among us all.
What a good fantasy you lead.
Look in the mirror and back in your eyes.
Just the mere perfection
on the image of lies.
When will you ever learn?
Perfection isn't everything
when it comes to living our lives.
