Merlin Poem by johannes lewinsky

Merlin

1
I have been what i am and can
And have and will and how i have
Found what it is to know and will
and what it is to be discarded

and in all of these that i have
embraced and held and carried with
i have found an explication of what it is
to be not just ostracized but with

2
i have never sought to dominate nor usurp
with those who seek the world to conquer but simply
take all of this with which i am presented

of cliffs, hills, trees, rocks, stones & storms
the larks that busk so blithely on the wind
and hawks sweeping in arcs above me

and all that is out and beyond from out
its out-ness that oh so other is
and away from the me that here is
to take it in and to the deepest
recesses of my own soul where
not otherness is but only
is-ness is and here and with

3
And this is how it is i will
speak the world that in my brain is
Not filtered by but now complete
with all that has impinged and has
and cannot be taken now once given

with all that is in me is
and churns and churns
and will not not be assuaged
by the doing of that or this
or any other thing that is
appropriate is and it may be

i may appear to obfuscate with this
but it is but to bring each unto the other
that i spew these signs and indices out
in order to re define & re deliver

all that has been and is and doesn't
and may not be relevant to this
and all that remains in my brain still is
