Merry Christmas To All Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

Merry Christmas To All

Put aside your hurt and sadness
Make someone smile
Take a moment to close your eyes
and wonder about the Christmas Star
in the long-ago skies
Follow it and see if it leads you to a manger
unerneath the stars and night clear
and see if it draws you near
to a the little baby Jesus
and feel the peace as he calms your fear
His mother Mary and Joseph by his side
their love, they cannot hide
The animals, the ox and the sheep
Serene as the baby as he does sleep
This was the simple beginning for the son of God
as three wise men who have come from the east
agree and nod
they are smiling in their wisdom and awe
and bear their gifts worthy of a God
to a child in a stable with a roof made of straw
So happiness can be found in the most simple things
and keep this in heart no matter what the season brings
It is important to think this night beyond yourself
and its worth your heart and worth your while
to celebrate Christmas, by giving someone else hope
Give them reason to smile
Or spark wonder and joy in the heart of a child

Merry Christmas!
